Krishan S Sharma was born in Nairobi, Kenya and came to India for higher studies in 1971. He did his B. Com/MBA from Punjab University, Chandigarh and then in 1977 returned to Nairobi to work as Chief Financial Officer with House of Manjis – a leading biscuit and cereal manufacturer in Kenya. In 1981, he started working as a Tax Auditor with the Federal and Provincial government of Canada. Prior to this job he worked as an auditor with a leading CA firm in Canada and acquired a professional status as a Chartered Accountant and Certified General Accountant in 1981. In 1988, he resigned from his job as an auditor with the federal government after acquiring experience in various areas of Commodity Taxation, Accounting, Finance and Auditing. He setup his own practice in 1988 as a tax consultant and as an auditor. He prepared for and wrote the CPA USA examination in May of 1996 and passed in the first attempt. In 1996, he was selected from thousands of applicants to represent Devry Inc. to setup the Becker CPA Review centers in India. Devry Inc. is a public company based in USA and is the largest CPA Review Course provider with over 350 centers in the US and centers in more than 20 countries in the world. Mr. Krishan S Sharma came to India in April 1997 and today is responsible for the operations of 11 Becker CPA Review Centers across India. He teaches the CPA course himself, trains the instructors, manages the operations and has a staff of over 100 CAs and CPAs and 40 plus administrative staff working with him. He has conducted training for over 1000 companies like Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, American Express, Bank of America, Infosys, Goldman Sachs, World Bank and many more.
